Green Committee: Green Field Experience

Experience Annapolis Maritime Museum‘s Sail & STEM program from a student’s perspective aboard the historic Wilma Lee. Teachers will explore the Chesapeake Bay through sailing, water quality investigations, oyster restoration, and choice of a hands-on STEM design challenges. The evening concludes with a discussion focused on translating these experiences into classroom-ready activities aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Maryland Environmental Literacy Standards. Teachers will leave with practical resources, new instructional strategies, and inspiration for bringing place-based learning into their classrooms.
