EVENT: Why Unions Matter with the Caucus of African American Leaders

We are pleased to invite you to an event this evening that TAAAC is co-sponsoring with the Caucus of African American Leaders on Why Unions Matter. Please join us for dinner and a panel discussion about the past, present, and future of the labor movement and how unions have made a stronger middle class for all Americans. This event is open to the public.

  • Panelists: John Kilker (Senior Representative/Legislative Assistant, MCGEO Local 1994 (union for AACPS contract bus drivers whose 2025 strike vote helped win on health care), Ray Baker (Maryland Director for Baltimore-DC Metro Building Trades Council), and Kristina Korona (President of the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County)

TAAAC is a union of educators, representing all Unit 1 employees in the Anne Arundel County Public School System.
