Why are we doing this?
TO SUPPORT AN AGENDA FOR ALL WORKING PEOPLE!!
- ONE job should be enough.
- We ALL need good health care.
- We need housing that is affordable.
- We need groceries and utilities that are affordable.
- We need WAGES that allow us to do more than just get by. We all deserve to thrive.
TO CONNECT AND BUILD ALLIANCES.
- Things are not normal in our country right now.
- If we need to take action bigger than sign-waving, we’ll know each other, and we will have already worked together.
- If needed, we can quickly connect for any purpose. Let’s be real, free and fair elections have been under attack, and we need to be able to organize and push back on SHORT NOTICE, possibly this October or November.
SO WE KNOW WHO WE CAN COUNT ON.
- Participating organizations and individuals are trying to show that we can be counted on to take action when any part of our community is under attack. Be part of that solidarity.

What is May Day?
Even though May Day – also known as International Workers’ Day – has historical roots in the United States, it is mostly celebrated in other countries. We want to help bring it home. This holiday honors labor movements and workers’ rights. The commemoration is marked by demonstrations for fair pay and safe working conditions, as well as remembrances of those who sacrificed and lost their lives in the struggle for the eight-hour workday. We expect this to be the biggest May Day yet in U.S. history! Join the May Day Strong movement today. Register here to attend one of the actions happening right here in Anne Arundel County in your community: https://tinyurl.com/AACoMayDay
