TAKE ACTION: Pass the Right to Strike Bill

The Maryland Right to Strike Coalition, including educators, labor unions, and community organizations, advocates for the repeal of the Maryalnd no strike law for PreK-12 public school employees and public library employees (except Montgomery County and Prince George's County, due to their charters).

This session in the Maryland General Assembly, Delegate Eric Ebersole has sponsored HB1492, which will be heard by the House Government, Labor, and Elections Committee on March 11, 2026 at 1:00pm. Send emails to the committee members to take a favorable vote on this legislation and pass it out of committee.

Attend the Hearing

There will be a rally at Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis at 12pm ahead of the hearing, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm on March 11, 2026. The bill is scheduled to be 9th on the agenda, which means if members are in the Annapolis area, there should be time to attend after school hours.
