The Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County (TAAAC) is proud to announce the endorsement of candidate James Kitchin for County Executive by the TAAAC Representative Assembly.
Following the vote, TAAAC President Kristina Korona released the following statement:
“James Kitchin stood out to educators after a lengthy endorsement process as the best candidate for educators due to his dedication to public education issues throughout his career. His experience as a former educator and as the special assistant to the County Executive, during which he led the county’s vaccine distribution, championed education and environmental issues, and facilitated daily constituent services, are all reasons why TAAAC members support him.
“In a crowded and competitive field of pro-public education advocates, James Kitchin is the best candidate for County Executive.”
This month the TAAAC Rep Assembly also voted to endorse the following county council candidates:
- Geonta Simmons, District 1
- Will Shorter, District 2
- Rebecca Baucom, District 3
