
County Council Budget Hearings
County Executive Steuart Pittman hosts district-based budget town halls to hear from residents about their priorities. In order to make sure that we get the county revenue increases that we need to reduce our workloads and increase our compensation, we need members showing up at EVERY single one of them. There are town halls through early February.

Lobby Nights in Annapolis
Every Monday we speak with members of the Anne Arundel County Delegation to the Maryland Generally Assembly. Help advocate for continued Blueprint Funding, specifically protection of community school funding, protection of Comp Ed Students and Multi-Lingual Learners, and increased revenue to fund a balanced budget.

Board of Education Budget Hearing
In early January, the Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Bedell hosted two budget hearings. TAAAC members advocated for: a higher than the recommended 3% COLA; competitive salaries for ALL educators including experienced educators; additional staffing to lower class sizes and caseloads; additional staffing for special education students and multilingual learners; more paid time leave to avoid lost time; and improvements to the career ladder.
