Last week, we hosted the inaugural Leadership Development Conference! This included trainings, keynotes, panel discussions with our Board of Education candidates, and more! We’re excited to expand this in future years and continue to build our union, together.
One of the big aspects of the conference was the kick off of a book club. We provided free copies of A Collective Bargains: Unions, Organizing, and the Fight for Democracy by Jane McAlevey to all attendees. Stay tuned for a date for our first meeting. If you didn’t sign up at the conference to participate but are interested (whether or not you were an attendee), email [email protected] and we can make sure you’re signed up!
