Jason resides in Baltimore County and enjoys spending time on the weekends with his daughter, Khloe, who is busy with sports and other activities.
After a few staffing changes, we are excited to welcome to the TAAAC team, Jason Fahie!
Starting tomorrow, Jason will take on member concerns and organizing as the new UniServ Director in the following feeders: Glen Burnie, North County, Northeast, and Severna Park.
Reminder also that John Gates is the temporary UniServ Director for the Annapolis, Chesapeake, Old Mill, and Southern feeders. Mike Magee covers the Arundel, Broadneck, Crofton, Meade, and South River feeders). We are grateful to Allison Yunda and Mark Mench for their support of our union and wish them luck in their future endeavors. Board of Directors Update
Our Board of Directors held a special session yesterday to discuss staff changes, committees, and more. Updates include:
- The Board of Directors voted to shift the Contract Specialist position, held by Scott Soares, to the Executive Director position. Prior to joining TAAAC, Scott worked for AFSCME for 24 years as a staff representative responsible for negotiating 12+ contracts annually and member representation/ organizing at 30+ locals. Scott will transition to the position immediately. Congratulations!
- SAVE THE DATE: April RA has been moved to Wednesday, April 19 due to spring break and Passover. The meeting will start at 5:00 p.m. at Severna Park High School.
