Weekly Update: 23-24 Calendar

Dec 06, 2022

We know you’re doing your best to get through this last month before winter break, but there are a few things to keep your eye on this week that will impact educator working conditions!

  1. Tomorrow, the Board of Education will vote on the 2023-24 school year calendar – you can watch the recording here. Stay tuned for an update on their decision as well as information about their legislative priorities! Next week, they will discuss the budget.
  2. On Thursday, our Negotiations Team is heading back to the table for the second session of bargaining. Click here for a recap of the last meeting. If you’re interested in supporting the team and our priorities this year, make sure to save the date for the Budget Hearing at OMHS in January!

Reminder: Next week after our December Rep Assembly, join us at Mother’s Peninsula Grille for a happy hour! Free drinks and snacks from 6:30-8:30! Check out the other opportunities to get involved below!
