The Schools Our Students Deserve

Our schools are in crisis. The problems are life or death. The Board of Education has only provided band-aids instead of addressing deep-seated solutions.

From understaffing to lack of social-emotional support to failing infrastructure, we need to come together as a community to prevent tragedy from striking our schools.

School-Based Safety Committee Documents

We are working to put a spotlight on the system-wide safety issues facing our students and school staff. Starting at the school level, members are conducting Safety Climate Surveys to identify issues and potential solutions. This step is critical to ensuring the voice of members is the priority in this conversation, and that through collective action the issues facing our schools CAN be resolved. In unison with other schools across the county, these surveys will be used to support a broader safety organizing plan that pressures the Board of Education to act.
