For over 20 years, MSEA’s Minority Affairs Committee has honored people of color who have demonstrated leadership on public education issues and fostered increased understanding of public schools in American society. The individuals must have promoted a positive image of public education on behalf of students, parents, and educators and encouraged improvement in Maryland’s public-school systems. Deadline: December 15, 2020.

The award categories are: public education, leadership, politics, community involvement, and aspiring educator membership.
