County Council Budget Hearing

1. County Executive Pittman has proposed a fair budget for public education. We ask the County Council to support fully funding the education budget.
2. We are continuing to face a shortage of educators across all job categories. This budget shows educators the respect of fair pay, and encourages others to join the field, in addition to funding critical positions to alleviate educator workload.
3. The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future provides critical funding for our school system but it also has significant challenges and leaves many educators out. Providing additional funding could help fill those gaps.
