The Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County (TAAAC) is proud to announce the latest candidates endorsed by the TAAAC Representative Assembly.
- Jared Littmann, Mayor
- Diesha Contee, Ward 6 alderman
This election cycle marks the first time that the TAAAC Government Relations Committee has recommended endorsement for candidates in the City of Annapolis aldermanic elections. These positions, while not directly impacting policies of AACPS, will impact the students, schools, and educators who live in the City of Annapolis. These candidates join a slate of previously endorsed candidates, including Harry Huntley (Ward 1), Karma O’Neill (Ward 2), Keanuú Smith-Brown (Ward 3), and Brooks Schandelmeier (Ward 5). Regarding the two additional endorsements, TAAAC President Kristina Korona said:
“As active supporters of our public schools–Jared Littmann through his matching donation program and Diesha Contee as a volunteer with the Be Present campaign–we are proud to endorse both of these two candidates. We look forward to working with them on issues that will support educators, our students, and the larger community. This includes efforts creating more affordable housing options for educators and working families, as well as improving transportation options, especially for our high school students, so they can attend after-school activities.”
