On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the AACPS Board of Education presents their annual budget priorities. TAAAC released the following statement to address these priorities:
TAAAC is excited and energized by the AACPS Board of Education’s prioritization of increased salaries for educators and support staff. Higher wages will support the recruitment and retention of dedicated staff to the county, as well as reduce caseloads and class sizes, elevating the learning and working conditions of both students and educators.
Additionally, TAAAC and MSEA support investment in expanding social emotional and mental health support and look forward to working with AACPS to support students and educators.
