We met yesterday with Councilmembers Pete Smith and Shannon Leadbetter for our first lobby session with the County Council yesterday to advocate for full funding of the public education budget. Members shared their stories of what a 6% COLA and one step increase would mean to their ability to support their families, save for college tuition for their children or retirement for themselves, or quit a second job. We advocate for equitable, quality education for all students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. TAAAC is a union of educators, representing all Unit 1 employees in the Anne Arundel County Public School System.
