MAKE SURE YOU’RE REGISTERED!
If it’s been a while since you’ve voted (or even if it hasn’t), now’s the time to make sure you’re registered at your current address. For the 2022 Maryland General Election, the deadline to register to vote and update your information is Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Remember to make sure your address is up to date while you’re at it.
REQUEST OR TRACK A MAIL-IN BALLOT
Any registered voter in Maryland may vote by mail-in ballot. You don't need a reason to vote by mail-in ballot. Request your ballot before Tuesday. November 1, 2022. You can return your mail-in ballot to the Borad of Election Office by 8p.m. on election day, to any early vote center, in a ballot drop box, or send it via mail with a postmark on or before November 8, 2022. Getting your vote in well ahead of Election Day gives you peace of mind, and voting by mail is a great way to avoid a last-minute, in-person rush.
PREVIEW YOUR BALLOT
Before you head to the polls or fill out your mail-in ballot, familiarize yourself with who is on your ballot—and see which pro-public education candidates are recommended by TAAAC, MSEA, and NEA.
FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE AND CHECK YOUR DEADLINE
If you choose to vote in person, find where your polling place is located right now. (It may have changed.) If you’re voting absentee, check your ballot for a drop-off location.
PLAN TRANSPORTATION
How do you plan to get to your polling place? If you’re driving, scope out the parking options ahead of time. And please consider offering a ride to a friend or neighbor.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD
Encourage your friends to make their own vote plan with a customized “I made a plan to vote” graphic (pictured) you can share on Facebook and Twitter.
