3 Actions to start the Fall Semester

Aug 24, 2021

TAAAC President and elementary school teacher Russell Leone sent a welcome message to all members ahead of the fall semester. Take a look below!

As we prepare to keep our students, colleagues, and AACPS community safe while we start full in-person instruction in a few weeks, there are a few actions you can take:

Wear White

SAAAAC, AEL, and TAAAC are asking all members to wear white on September 1 when the Board of Education is meeting to show solidarity and ensure we are seen across the system. Take pictures and post on social media with #SafeSchools.

Share your Video

Continue to send TAAAC your own video or written statement about why you are wearing your mask this fall. You’ve already seen some of these shared on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

Submit Testimony

All of the BoE members need to hear from you. You can provide written testimony for the BoE meeting. Written testimony gets published for all to see and entered into the record. It would be amazing if there are hundreds on the issue of safety.

Click here for draft examples of testimony. You can submit testimony starting 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29.
